Pawtucket – Richard “Dick” T. Tomasso, 68, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, February 25, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Shirley L. (Webster) Tomasso for 47 years. Born in Providence, a son of Mary (Salzillo) Tomasso of Providence and the late John Tomasso, he resided in Pawtucket since 1992. Dick was a diamond tool maker for J & M Diamond Tool Co., Inc., East Providence for over 40 years. He enjoyed the ocean, especially sitting on the rocks at Galilee and watching the boats. Most of all he loved his family. Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Lori Tomasso Gorman of Pawtucket, Lisa Tomasso Rheaume of Seekonk, Lynn DeMoura of Rehoboth and Lorna O’Connor of Stonington, CT; a son, Richard Tomasso, Jr. of Danielson, CT; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of John, Viola, Robert and Ronald Tomasso, Linda Lombardi, Debra Matera, Patricia Brown and the late Loretta Seal. His funeral will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
